 Spent the day at the French Quarter. Dream come true!!! I love NOLA!!! 


Had another fun week out here in the bayou! 

Did service for Gee the Zulu queen again and she is the epitome of who I want to be when I grow up!! 

Met another NFL player!!!! Nephi Sewell who plays for the Saints! 2/2 for meeting members on the Saints! His wife just had a baby and she was up rippin and runnin week after!!! So crazy! 

Met with Fred and Danielle, converts of like 7 months, and watched the Restoration video! At the end Fred said the prayer and he goes "thank you lord for showing me who wrote the Book of Mormon, I never knew but now I know and im grateful for Joseph Smith." I was dying during that prayer HAHAHA! 
Don't worry we're gonna go over that again next week! 

Renee was so ready to come to church! She had her bus pass, told her pastor she wasn't gonna be at church and everything!!!!!
Got a call Sunday morning from her saying her daughter was having a seizure right then and she called US before 911 to tell us she wasn't gonna make it to church!!!!! 
Bruh.
Pray for Renee and her daughter!!! 

We met Chris this week as he got out of his Uber at his house!! Got to sit down and teach the restoration!! He had already done his research on the church and was super interested in our church because it seems true and believable!!! Never had anyone say that before!!
Long story short he was so excited t9 come to church!! 
We got another call Sunday morning from him saying that one of his friends had gotten beat by her boyfriend the night before and he and his buddies were skrting over there to show the guy what's up....
Pray for Chris and his friend as well!!

It be crazy out here!!!! 

Went around knock dockin and met Derrick! Said he's been getting our calls but has just decided to ignore them... cool. 
But he was so excited when we shared the Book of Mormon with him and legit sat down and started to read it while we were leaving!!!! 

Ate at lil dizzys!!!!!
Had the best fried shrimp and potato salad EVER. 
The line out the door was worth it!!! 
Had to bike after and that dominated me for reallllll! 
Burnt all those calories off tho!!!! 

My time here in Louisianer is coming to a close here in the next few weeks and I'm just trying to soak it all in!!! Excited for what's to come these next two weeks!!! Love yall and grateful for all da support! ❤️

We back babyyy!  This week did a whole lotta bikin thats for sure!!!  At least we have unlimited miles 😎 We have been working alot with inactive members because there are SO MANY of them here in this town it's crazy!!!  We've had some funny experiences with some of them!  We went and visited James who got baptized back in the 80's but a week after he decided he is part of a different religion?!?!  Asked him where he stood rn and he said he be a Jedi-ite! It's exactly what you are thinking right now... he believes that there is a force which has a light side and a dark side!  I was mind blown!!! I was just trying to be respectful and not laugh because truly that is the most pathetic thing I have heard on my mission!!!  We texted another member and asked how he was doing and he goes "not good. I just lost all my life's savings betting on college football last night and my cat died"  Oh...  Continues on to ask if he can get his tithing back......

  Another exciting week in the 4th most dangerous city in the U.S!!!!! Was walking out of an apartment complex and a lady was walking out in a big rush!!  God had different plans for her and a recipt flew out of her hands!!!  Stopped her and gave it back and she goes "oh yall are the church people"  Yeah we are!!!   Called back that night and she had read our pamphlet already!!!!  Went back the next day and taught her the plan of salvation and she absolutely loved it!!!  It was so blessed and it's so cool to see God's hand in people's lives!!!  Went to the ward trunk or treat and went around stealing the kids candy mwhahaha  Went and taught Renee and she goes "I'm tryna get rebaptized but my pastor won't let me!!!!"  Well wll well we can help ya out with that!!!  Told her to come to church and she agreed to come next week and goes "that way I can tell people I won't be there next week, I don't have to tell them where I'm going ...

Pathetic Panzees

  GUESS WHAT MOM?! I COME HOME THIS YEAR!!!!!!  Sister Stokes woke up one morning and the first thing she said was "I had a dream that we went to justin biebers house and we went fishing!!!!"  Hehe yes pls!!!!!!  This week was a whole lot of "huntin and fishin and lovin every day" to say the least!  Lots and lots of finding and man have we seen miracles!!!!!  We back at it with FREE JESUS BOOKS and it came in clutch!!  12 numbers in an hour????  UH HUH!!!!  Met Phillip!! He was baptized into a catholic church two weeks ago... and HES NOT EVEN CATHOLIC!!!! (Direct quote from Phillip!!!)  Came to church yesterday and absolutely LOVED IT!  Our bestie Nchedo made us some absolutely fire Nigerian food!  I'm not gonna wanna eat when I get home because food in Utah tastes like cardboard compared to here!!!  Probs a good thing... I'll lose all the weight I have gained since I have been out here!  Don't ask don't tell :))))...
