LAST ROUND WHAT WHAT!
GOOD MORNING (or evening??) NEW ORLEANS!!!!!!
You heard that right folks I'm comin at ya from NOLAAAAA
My last weeks in El Dorado were bitter sweet! Got to meet with all my besties and say bye!
Convinced Willie to agree to being baptized on Wednesday but we went thru the interview questions and he wasn't quite read yet!
Everyone please pray for Willie!
Said bye to my favorite people Deserae and Pamela :'( had a fire lesson on the plan of salvation and hit hard on temples and there were so many tears shed! Grateful for temples and the opportunity to help others work towards that goal!!!
ALRIGHT now about Nola 😎
My dream area!!! But it's always been an elders area because of how sketchy it is....
But SISTERS ARE NOW IN CENTRAL!!!!!!
Lowkey probs only a big deal within the mission but it has been the best thing ever!!!!
We don't have a car to use other than to get to church soooo we be bikin like none other!!!
Like legit in the past 2 days I've been here we have biked 27 miles!!!!
Looks like imma be able to to lotoja with Paul 🤠🤠
We met with Jose this week and he is a very inactive member! Buttt he totally came to church this week!!!
For the first time in about 10 years!
But we asked him why he joined the church and he goes "oh because you guys practice polygamy!" uhhhh....
But then he said just kidding and how he knows it was practiced in the old testament and how its truth restored even tho its not a thing anymore!
Called Kim, another inactive, and she came to church as well!!! She was baptized in Baton Rouge and moved to Nola about 6 years ago and had NEVER been to church! Man what one phone call can do to a person!
She stood up in Relief Society and had tears streaming down her face as she introduced herself and how she got back to church. It was so tender. Truly what makes this work so great!
We were walking down St. Charles Street and we just see a group of four wheelers riding wheelies down the street! Nice.
We drive right by the SUPERDOME to get to church!!!
Taysom Hill is in my ward.
Yes you heard that right.
GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!
A dog came up to Sister Burk and the CATHOLIC owner goes "she loves jesus but doesn't know where to find him cuz he's not with yall"
SHOTS FIRED!!!!
Church yesterday was so cool!! We have a very diverse ward and very humble to say the least!
Lots of converts to the church but I have never met people who were more welcoming, loving, and just excited to be there and worship their Savior!
I also didn't realize how many tourists would be at church! I have never served in a so called "touristy" area so it was a way different dynamic but so cool to meet so many different people who were visiting Nola!
So excited to be here for my last 6 weeks!!!! Love you all so much!
