Baby Girl

 What is upppp!!! 

Everyone calls me baby girl here. Hence the subject line! Ayo! 

I have been in Baton Rouge for a little under a week and it has been a party to say the least!!! I am in Denham Springs which is just a little outside of Baton Rouge but it is soooo pretty!!! 

I'll give yall a lil rundown of what's gone down this week in Louisianer! 

I didn't have anyone in my district going to Louisianer so I got to travel with Sister Thompson and Sister Jenkins. They are literally angels. #tendermercy 

When we got out of the mtc literally the first thing I saw was that gas was like $5.20. Bruh I'm glad I'm not paying for gas rn. #tendermercy 

We also almost DIED on the bus ride to the airport. The driver was not having it and did not care he had the lords servants in his bus. JKJK But we made it safe so we all good! 

I took my first nap in three weeks on the plane and I may have been so uncomfy but it was the best. We landed in Baton Rouge and we Poured bangs into our water bottles. Didn't want to roll up with an energy drink in our hands so we had to compromise. #bigbrains 

We got to the mission home and my mission president is SO SHORT!!! I literally thought he was going to be like 6'3" boyyy was I wrong. I am literally taller than him. Love that guy tho he is amazing! 

I would also like to note, again just to tell my mom, that I played the piano for the testimony meeting!!! All of those 10 years of forced piano lessons are realllyyyy paying off. Jk I have only had to play once. I could have lived with out it. 

Anywayyyys onto my week! My first day I met my comp Sister Starling! She is literally a star! She has been such a blessing and is the sweetest ever!! #tendermercy 

We then headed to our first lesson with my guy Cedrick! This dude is so cool! He is in a wheelchair because he got shot in the 90s and had to have both legs amputated! He has been in and out of the drug world and prison but he is such a sweet guy but he was out of our area so we aren't teaching him anymore but keep him in your prayers! 

We have also been teaching this girl named Taylor! She is so sweet and we invited her to be baptized this week!! She knows it is a lot of change so she is praying about it! Please keep her in your prayers!!! 

The temperature has been solid 100⁰!! Haven't even been under 90 yet! Insane!! Brother Ete is one of the counselors in the bishopric and he is this massive dude but he literally has a BRITTISH accent! So random hahaha! 

I have SOOO much to tell yall but we all hate those people who write novels and I am getting close, so I am going to have to stop there!!! 

Today we taught someone about latter day prophets!! We explained to them on how they recieve revelation straight from heavenly father! We invited them to choose ANY conference talk and to read it! Soo naturally I did the same thing. I'm not gonna tell someone to do something if I wouldn't do it! And the talk I chose was by Elder D. Todd Christofferson called "our relationship with god" and he gave many instances where people trusted in him even if they were going to possibly die! Some examples are Joseph of old, abinidi, and alma & amulek! I hope we can all strive to have faith in heavenly father like these people could! 

Sooo this week I invite yall to go choose a conference talk, ANY CONFERENCE TALK!! and read it. That's all. Just read it. You will get so much out of it! These people get words straight from the lord! It is amazing!
