1 YEAR!
Oopsies sorry everyone definitely was way busy last week and didn't write an email....
Recap of the past 2 weeks here we go!
Went on exchanges in Bastrop with Sister Burrows and saw so so many miracles!!
The Bastrop branch has been praying for a family and while on exchanges we found such an elect family!!! The sisters have since met with them and they are progressing so so well!!
Stopped in Junction City on our way home from exchanges and had a lesson with our recent convert Brenda at Ms.Gwen's house!
Ms.Gwen was telling us how she went to Walmart to get snacks to give to the kids in the apartment complex!
Then every 5 minutes a child would come in to buy snacks from her.
I was dying because I was like "ohhh she's so nice to do that for the kids" when in all reality she's got a full on business going!
Went and helped at the food pantry and this time we were bagging raw chicken quarters into ziplock bags for them to get out.
Well the chicken wasn't cut right...
When I tell you it looked like a slaughter house in that church kitchen it is no joke.
Had people sawing these chicken halves with kitchen knives and breaking the bones over the table...
I'm going vegan now.
For Memorial Day there was an event downtown that we went to go contact at!!!
Thinking this was going to be like a fair or something....
We walk up and it's a straight up symphony that everyone was just sitting down and watching.
I died laughing. It was awesome!
Went and helped bishop weed and mulch his yard.
Meanwhile my dad was doing the same thing so it is in that moment that he realized he missed me!!!!
Had a lesson with my favorite guy Percy!!!!
Idk if I've talked about Percy but he is this old guy who I can't even understand half the time who just wants to learn about Jesus!!!!
He doesn't remember anything and just doesn't really comprehend what we teach him but he knows if he meets with us and goes to church he will learn about Jesus!!!
We have been teaching him about prayer for a while trying to teach him how to pray and he FINALLY remembered that we start our prayers with "dear Heavenly Father"
That is such a dub right there!!!
We met with Deserae, Terrance, and Pamela and had such a FIRE lesson on the plan of salvation!!!
This family has so much potential and they have the desire to learn, all they need is the effort.
The spirit was so strong and I could just feel it teaching them that all we were saying was of God!!
Deserae told us that she wants to get closer to God and she wants to be baptized!!!
Went back a couple days later and put her on date!!! She notices she needs change in her life and knows that working towards baptism is the way to go!!!
This was such a miracle!!! These past two weeks we have had such an absurd amount of lessons cancel. It's been the worst and so hard to keep our heads up!!! But it's all God's plan and we are just his instruments.
God is so good even in our hardest times!!!
I'm grateful for the hills and valleys of missionary work and for the opportunity to serve here in El Dorado!!!
This past year has been the funnest but scariest rollercoaster I've ever been on!!! I don't know where I would be without this last year!!!!
Love you all!!!
